Απευθειας απο Τζαμαικα και MOUR DAN SOUND, ο HURRICANE JERMAINE μας στέλνει χαιρετισματα μέσω της μουσικης επιλογης για το «Legalise it Cyprus Radio»
As a young man growing up, Philmour was greatly inspired by the culture of sound systems clashing musically in the dancehall, such as, Stereo Mars, Gemini, Peoples Choice, Inner City Sound, among many others. This culture developed in him a love for music, which generated a yearning and a desire in his heart to further pursue the goal to create his unique sound.
This eventually resulted in him establishing his own sound system in 2014, called Mour Dan Sound (M.D.S). The name ‘Mour Dan’ derived, in part, from Phil’s name (Philmour) and ‘Dan’ was used to reflect the word ‘than’, implying that this sound is ‘more than’ its competitors and opponents.
Mour Dan is new on the dancehall scene, with its origin from a small community, Barbary Hall in St. Elizabeth. Phil always aspired to ‘put Barbary Hall on the map’, a sign that Mour Dan’s purpose is to become ‘the sound of prominence’. The objective is for M.D.S. to grow from strength to strength to fulfil its mandate of ‘prominence’, both for Mour Dan and for Barbary Hall. Their growth is evident in their track record of playing alongside reputable local as well as internationally acclaimed sounds and selectors in the industry, such as Stone Love, David Rodigan, Mighty Crown, Bass Odyssey, and many more.
The driving force behind Mour Dan’s success, was born out of Phil’s discipline, creativity and focus in fulfilling his dreams and goals. Phil has demonstrated that through patience, discipline and by working smart, it is possible to give life to one’s aspirations.
This divinely inspired sound will continue to ‘rise to prominence’ as it consistently delivers high quality performances to its diverse audience, to create unforgettable experiences to party goers, setting a standard of being ‘more than’; a model that others will aspire to attain
